2022 Flew By... What’s Next?

2022 was certainly a year of beer… Lots and lots of beers. We were able to churn out 81 different beers! But it wasn’t just about quantity, quality stays our top priority - which is why we were absolutely ecstatic to be recognized at two of the largest competitions in the world.

Back in May, brought home a World Beer Cup Bronze Medal for Late Night Polka Party - a night of celebration that Minneapolis won’t soon forget. Then in October, we celebrated with fellow San Antonio brewers as Alright, Alright, Alright took home GOLD at the Great American Beer Festival.

We didn’t start brewing beer to win medals, although we won't lie by pretending like we didn’t care. Those medals make a pretty awesome collar for our dog statue. It was an awesome experience being recognized as one of the best in the game, and it got a lot of people asking “What’s next?”

Like any small business, Roadmap is ever evolving and you can expect to see a couple changes in the coming months. Most notably will be the food truck outside - we’ve enjoyed our partnership with Project Pollo over the last three years but felt it was time for a change for everyone.

Starting in February we will host a new resident food truck - LAST PLACE BURGERS!!! Outside food will continue to be welcome, and we’ll have occasional pop ups throughout the year - but the permanent food option will be Last Place Burgers. They are one of the hottest new food options in town and can’t wait to pair those amazing smash burgers with our beers.

On the brewing side of the business you’ll notice a few “big” changes. Maybe not “big” but “bigger”. Bigger tanks will slowly start to replace our original system. We’ll squash the rumors now, this is NOT so that we can get massive and be in every restaurant/H.E.B. across San Antonio (we’ll remain true to our original vision that the taproom is the focus). However, these bigger tanks will lighten the stress without having to sacrifice quality on some of our core beers - most notably our top seller, Alright, Alright, Alright.

As 2023 creeps on and we learn how this extra capacity affects the daily work flow you MAY start to see some of our beers out in select bars across town, but don’t expect to see an 18 wheeler with “Roadmap” plastered across the side delivering anytime in the future. We’re happy being a small brewery and focusing on the most important thing… All of you and the community within the taproom.

So sit down, grab a beer, and hang on tight… 2023 is going to be one hell of a ride!!!
